Lauren Bulcher has been a reader, writer, and editor as long as she can remember, and was the annoying kid who corrected her teachers’ spelling while in middle school. She went pro with the Let’s Go travel guide series as a researcher-writer, manager, and editor of the series’ flagship guide to Europe. This spurred a love for travel that led to her nearly two-decade career as a U.S. diplomat in Washington, D.C. and overseas. There, she authored, coordinated, and proofread thousands of diplomatic communiques and dozens of memos to senior policymakers.

Lauren has a bachelor’s from Harvard University and speaks Spanish. She lives in Ridgway, Pennsylvania with her husband and nine children.
